Obituary

It is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing of Donat Pierre Joseph Touchette on Friday, October 24, 2025, at the age of 93.

Donat is mourned by his son Serge (Carmela), his daughter Murielle (John) Dyck, daughter-in-law Yvonne (Aurel), grandchildren Christine (Jeff) Collette, Linette (Jaret) Pelda, Marie (Jason) Collette, Brigitte (Jeff) Dhaene, Jérémi and Luc, great-grandchildren Dominique (Tyler), Stephanie, Gabriel, Olivia, Jessica, Everett, Hannah, Ella, Rhys, Hudson and Carter, great-great-granddaughter Alaia, brother Denis (Irene), and numerous sisters and brothers-in-law.

Donat is predeceased by the love of his life Denise, son Alain, son-in-law René Collette, many sisters and brothers, and many sisters and brothers-in-law.

Donat was a warm, kind soul, who loved his family, friends, travel and storytelling. He was loved by all who knew him.

The family would like to extend our gratitude and appreciation to the nurses, volunteers, doctors and staff at the Morris General Hospital for the wonderful care provided to Donat these last months.

A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, November 15, 2025, 2:00 p.m., at Birchwood Funeral Chapel, Steinbach, MB. A private interment will follow.
