Obituary

On Monday, November 19, 2018 Sheldon Klassen, son, brother, uncle, and cousin passed away suddenly at the age of 40 years.

Sheldon will be lovingly remembered by his parents Ben and Lena and his siblings: Jeff (Toyeen), Kevin (Pauline) and Stacy (Greg). Sheldon will also be remembered by many nieces and nephews, great-nieces and a great-nephew, extended family and friends.

Sheldon was predeceased by his grandparents.

Sheldon was born to Ben and Lena on June 24, 1978 in Winnipeg MB. He was the fourth of five children. Sheldon grew up in Lorette going to Beavers boys club with his dad as one of the leaders. Growing up he took guitar lessons with his brothers for several years. Sheldon also helped at DVBS at the church and attended young people’s and college and careers. He was a camp counselor at Hilbrey Bible Camp for a few summers. Over the years Sheldon worked at Pizza Hut, Lund Boats, Unger’s Poultry, and Polar Window’s.

Thank you to Prairie Grove Fellowship Chapel and its ministers. On behalf of the whole family, thanks to the many friends and extended family that have shown tremendous compassion and love to the family during this time of loss.

The memorial service will be held on Saturday, November 24, 2018 at 2:00 p.m. at Birchwood Funeral Chapel, Steinbach, MB. The burial will take place at Heritage Cemetery, Steinbach, MB prior to the service at 12:30 p.m.

If friends so desire, donations in memory of Sheldon may be made to assist family with funeral expenses.
