Obituary

With great joy and sorrow, we mourn the passing of our father, grandfather, great-grandfather, brother, uncle and friend. He passed away at his residence, Rest Haven Nursing Home, Steinbach, MB. He wished for some time to be able to go “Home” to be with his Lord and Savior, and his loved family members.

He is survived by sons Allen (Malvine Giesbrecht), Boyd (Donna), grandchildren Stacey (Francois Lansard) Janel & Jeff Dupley, great-granddaughter Aubrey Lansard, sisters, Rosalina Guenther, Marlene Suderman, Emily (Ben Klassen), brother William (Tina).

Henry was predeceased by his parents John W Schalla and Nathalie Schalla (Streck), wife Anne Marie, brother Elvin, sisters and brothers-in-law Alvina & Freddie Freund & Gus Rosner, Helen & Phillip Roy, Mary & Emil Krentz, Pauline & John Reimer, Louise & Jake Falk, brother-in-law Abe Guenther, nephews: Wayne Freund, Larry Falk, niece Lori Fiebelkorn.

The funeral service will take place on Thursday, April 18th, 2019, at 2:00 p.m. at the St Paul’s Evangelical Lutheran Church, Steinbach, MB., with Pastor Terry Gudmundson officiating. Viewing prior to the service.

Let it be our prayer

Our Father, who art in heaven, hallowed be thy name.

Thy Kingdom come, thy will be done, on earth as it is in heaven.

Give us this day our daily bread.

And forgive us our trespasses, as we forgive those who trespass against us.

And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil.

For thine is the kingdom, the power and the glory. for ever and ever.
