He is also survived by his eight brothers and four sisters, David, John, Ernie, Anne, Herman, Irma, Vern, Christie, Shirley, James, Wes, Ted and their families.
Leonard was predeceased by his parents Herman David Froese & Annie Froese and his sister Eleanor Pfeifer.
Len was born in Winnipeg on June 15, 1953. He grew up on the family farm just outside Grunthal. He worked a few different trades in his younger years before he settled on hog farming with his wife for about 25 years. Len was very athletic and loved sports – especially hockey and golf. Running was part of his daily routine. He loved southern gospel music, going for walks and rides in the countryside, and spending time with family and grandkids.
Len’s faith in Jesus was a priority for him, serving as an usher in the church for many years and spending regular time in the Word. His favourite Bible verse was, Jesus said, “I am the Way, the Truth and the Life. No one comes unto the Father but by Me.” ~ John 14:6. At age 62 he was diagnosed with frontal temporal dementia, but his love for the Lord only deepened, as did his love for his family.
In December 2021 he moved to the Heritage Life PCH and blessed many staff and friends with his happy demeanor and with phrases like “I love You”, and, “You are a good man/woman”.
He will be missed by all. However, this is not a good-bye, but see you later!
