Obituary

Albert Penner, age 58 years, of Winnipeg, MB., passed away suddenly on Monday, March 23, 2026, at St. Boniface Hospital, Winnipeg, MB.

Albert was born to Peter and Helena Penner on August 25, 1967, in Paraguay.

On July 21, 1987, Albert was baptized on confession of his faith in Jesus Christ.

He became an orphan at a very young age, his mother passed away when he was seven months old and father passed away when he was 12 years old. Albert lived in different foster homes until he got married.

He married Lena Doerken on March 19, 1988.

They were married for 38 years and four days. During that time, they had three daughters and nine grandchildren.

Albert was predeceased by his parents, his parents-in-law, one sister, three brothers-in-law, and one sister-in-law.

Left to mourn his passing are his wife Lena, his daughters Brigitte, Dorothea, and Jennifer with their families, as well as his extended family and many friends.

The funeral service will be held on Tuesday, March 31, 2026, at 11:00 a.m., at Birchwood Funeral Chapel, Steinbach, MB., with viewing one hour prior to the service.
