Garry Gustav George Auch, age 60, of Kerry MB, passed away peacefully Saturday, July 14, 2018 at Bethesda Regional Health Centre, Steinbach MB.
Left to mourn his passing are his beloved wife Jeanette and their children: Nathan (Ruby), Clayton (Kathleen), and Lucille (Jeff); grandchildren; siblings; and many nieces and nephews.
He was predeceased by his parents Gustav and Anna Auch (nee Huff).
Garry was born in Steinbach on August 24, 1957. He was raised on the family farm in Kerry Manitoba. He married Jeanette Sobering on November 22, 1975 in Steinbach. Back then, the couple resided in Winnipeg and Garry worked for L.E.N. Sewer and Water. After a few years of “city life” his love for the farm called him back. He returned, raised a family and remained there for the rest of his life. He made a living farming and logging. Later in life, he worked for Hy-Way Construction in Steinbach until illness prevented him from working.
When he was not working, he enjoyed the outdoors and spending time with family. Some of his favorite pastimes included watching movies and television, especially comedies and wrestling. He often worked movie quotes into daily life. He was very sarcastic and straight to the point but loving and caring at the same time.
The family would like to thank the staff at Bethesda Regional Health Centre for their compassionate care and all the support from family and friends.
The memorial service will be held on Tuesday, July 24, 2018 at 2:00 p.m., at St Paul’s Evangelical Lutheran Church, Steinbach, MB. A private interment will take place at a later date.
In lieu of flowers, donations in memory of Garry may be made to St Paul’s Memorial Fund.
Garry…you will be missed.
