Henry will be remembered for his servant heart, steady presence, strong work ethic, and deep love for his family and friends. He lived a life marked by faith, humility, and generosity, touching the lives of many through his quiet strength and willingness to help others. Those who knew Henry appreciated his wisdom, warm smile, and the care he showed to everyone around him.
Born and raised in Herbert, SK then later moved to Steinbach, MB, Henry valued community, hard work, and time spent with loved ones. Above all, he cherished his family, spending time with his grandchildren and was looking forward to the birth of his great granddaughter. With his beloved wife Dianne they shared 52 wonderful years of marriage together filled with love, devotion, and countless treasured memories.
Henry was an entrepreneur at heart and started his first business in 1978. He took great pride in his work and especially loved working with his sons (until he was “forced” into retirement), turning wrenches, fixing cars, and home projects. Whether helping someone repair an engine or tackling a new project, Henry was happiest when he was building, repairing, and serving others through his skills and knowledge. People always knew that he was only a phone call away and they could always count on him showing up.
He is lovingly survived by his wife, Dianne Penner; his children and grandchildren, Vanessa and Mason Peters (Spencer Peters, Kassidy and Coby Morden, and Madisson Peters), Vychan and Nettie Penner (Blayze and Kadez Penner), and Kelsey and Jen Penner (Joshua, Tyler, and Victoria Penner); along with extended family members and many dear friends who will miss him deeply.
He was predeceased by his parents, John S. and Maria Penner, brothers Jake Penner and Dick Penner, sister Eva Molyneux, parents-in-law, Tony and Mary Kornelsen and loved ones who welcomed him into eternal rest.
