Obituary
Marcel Courcelles, of Ste. Agathe, Manitoba, passed away surrounded by family at the age of 93 years, at St-Pierre Hospital on Thursday, May 14, 2026.
He is survived by four brothers, Lionel, Lucien, Rene, Michel; and three sisters, Emilienne (Leonard Robidoux), Carmelle (Germain Desrosiers) and Fernande (Aurele Pelletier).
He will also be remembered by his many nephews and nieces.
He was predeceased by his father Raphael, his mother Jeanne (St-Onge), one sister Annette, two brothers Gerard and Jean-Paul (Patricia Brenton).
Marcel never married. He was a farmer until retirement. Marcel loved hunting with a passion. He enjoyed helping to make maple syrup in the spring.
He was a devout Catholic, attending mass every Sunday until his health deteriorated. You could always count on him when help was needed. He loved teasing his younger brothers.
Cremation has taken place.
The funeral service will be held at Paroisse Sainte-Agathe on Saturday, May 23, 2026, at 10:30 a.m., with ash interment to follow in the local cemetery.

Entouré de sa famille, Marcel Courcelles, âgé de 93 ans, est décédé paisiblement à l’hôpital de St-Pierre dans la soirée du 14 mai, 2026.
Il laisse dans le deuil trois soeurs, Émilienne (feu Léonard Robidoux), Carmelle (feu Germain Desrosiers), et Fernande (Aurèle Pelletier) ainsi que quatre frères, Lionel (feu Gisèle Magnan), Lucien, Rene (Aline Gingras) et Michel (Lise Gosselin).
Il laisse aussi dans le deuil de nombreux neveux et nièces qui n’oublieront jamais mon oncle gomme.
Une soeur, Annette, deux frères, Gérard et Jean-Paul, l’attendaient au paradis.
Marcel était célibataire. Il a été un fermier toute sa vie jusqu’à ce qu’il prenne sa retraite bien méritée. Au printemps il aimait nous aider à faire du sirop d’érable et de bouleau.
Il a déjà été incinéré. Les funérailles auront lieu le 23 mai à 10:30 en l’église de Ste Agathe où Marcel allait à la messe tous les dimanches. L’enterrement des cendres suivra la messe de célébration de la vie dans le cimetière de Ste-Agathe.
Un merci spécial au personnel et aux médecins de l’Hôpital de St-Pierre pour les soins délicats donnés à notre frère.
