George Reginald William Ross

Obituary

George, at 78, piloted an airplane for the last time on July 10, 2018. He took his final flight from this world on July 21 with his wife and daughter there to wave good-bye, following a lengthy illness, at the Vita and District Health Centre.

He is survived by his beloved wife, Sue, of 57 years, sons Chuck (Jan), Eric (Karen), Ian (Treena) and daughter Abbie (Louis), 10 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren, his sister Linda (Don) Sutyla and brother John (Donna) Ross, brothers- in-law Steve True and Royce True and numerous nieces and nephews.

He was predeceased by his parents, Reginald and Violet Ross, his brother Dennis, parents-in-law Graydon and Mildred True and brother-in-law Stuart.

George had a lengthy and full career as a Radar Technician in the RCAF and CF, retiring in 1994 after thirty-five years. He was a long-time member of the Experimental Aircraft Association and the IOOB.

George will forever remain in our hearts as an individual and a character! We’re gonna miss him!

Celebration of life will be held 2:00 p.m., Saturday, July 28, 2018 at 17 Wing Community Chapel, 2235 Silver Ave west of Wihuri (Whytewold) Rd, Winnipeg, MB.
