Obituary

Evan Edward John Woywoda, age 37, of Zhoda, MB suddenly passed away on Thursday, July 26, 2018.

Evan was a quiet, private person. He enjoyed going for long walks, listening to Motley Crue music. He was proud of the numerous sports cars he owned.

Evan grew up next door to his Baba Olga Fosty and spent a lot of time with her and the rest of the family. Evan always spoke highly of his Baba, Uncle Ken, Uncle Greg, & Auntie Kelly.

Evan and his Baba worked on the grounds and flowers at the family cemetery together. He knew this meant a lot to her. She would give out instructions, and he would say “Yes Baba”, and do it without complaint. This year was the first year Baba couldn’t put the flowers out at the cemetery, so Evan did it all on his own.

Evan was proud of his brother Colin who does Rap music performances under the name Lethal C throughout Winnipeg and Southeastern Manitoba.

When they were young boys Evan and Colin spent a lot of their time with Uncle Ken…weekends at the cabin fishing, boating, tubing, making giant pizzas, and the annual cutting down of the Christmas tree-which always included a fire and wiener roast out in the bush, and Uncle Ken letting Evan drive the snow machine around in circles in the field.

Uncle Greg, being only about seven years older than Evan, spent a lot of time with him when he was younger, and recently took Evan under his wing and was not only a good uncle, but a friend to Evan when he needed it most. Evan so appreciated that Uncle Greg gave him the opportunity to see a Motley Crue concert in Winnipeg.

Evan believed in God. Between the ages of 11-13 years, he attended Church in Zhoda. He would get up on Sunday morning all on his own, get ready, and walk to church or go with his Baba. He became close with Father Rudachuk who was the priest here for those years. Evan and Colin were baptized at this time.

Evan will be dearly missed by his mother Linda, brother Colin, Baba Olga Fosty, Aunty Kelly Sobering (Chris), Uncle Ken Fosty (Lorinda), Uncle Greg Fosty (Audra), cousins Tyler, Alec & Owen, grandma Kay Mentanko, Pastor Roger Woywoda (Lois), many cousins, and Tacos.

EVAN, BE FREE.

A private memorial service will be held at a later date.

Cremation has taken place.
