Manitoba’s Independent Investigation Unit (IIU) is reporting that a Winnipeg Police Service officer is facing charges related to a vehicle collision dating back to October of 2021.

The Independent Investigation Unit (IIU) has concluded its investigation into circumstances surrounding a motor vehicle collision that took place on October 28, 2021 at the intersection of Main Street and College Avenue. The civilian director of the IIU has determined there are reasonable grounds to believe an offence occurred under the Criminal Code (CC) and Highway Traffic Act (HTA).

As a result of the investigation, Cst. Bradley Louden has been issued a summons for May 16, 2022 in Winnipeg Provincial Court for driving dangerous contrary to s.320.13(2) of the CC and misuse of emergency vehicle equipment contrary to s. 106(7) of the HTA.

The IIU advised that it had launched an investigation into the incident on October 29, 2021.
