The Manitoba government is investing $11.4 million to support municipal fire services by funding 22 capital projects through the Manitoba Growth, Renewal and Opportunities for Municipalities (GRO) program. The investment includes $1.7 million for the Ste. Anne Fire Department.

The Manitoba government is inviting eligible organizations to apply for one-time project funding of up to $50,000 through the Manitoba Accessibility Fund (MAF).

Thompson RCMP are reporting that a male suspect was recently arrested and charged at the Thompson airport in connection to a drug trafficking investigation.
