The City of Steinbach has announced that starting Saturday, May 3, local residents can bring their yard and garden waste to one of three community compost depots setup within Steinbach.

The Manitoba government has sent out invitations to Lake Winnipeg commercial fishers encouraging them to attend the province’s first-ever fishers summit, a gathering that will unite north- and south-basin fishers and address the long-term viability and success of the province’s freshwater fishery.

The annual Pick up ‘n’ Walk community clean-up event for Steinbach has been scheduled to take place on Saturday, May 3, 2025. A rain date of May 10 has been set aside just in case of possible bad weather.
