Steinbach city councillor Michael Zwaagstra is proposing that members of city council who miss too many meetings have their pay reduced accordingly.

One of the questions I have been asked lately goes something like this. So, now that you have been a councilor for one term what have you learnt?

With the resumption of classes this past week Steinbach MLA, Kelvin Goertzen, says the addition this year of an Addictions Foundation worker on a three-quarters time basis to be working in local High Schools is an important step and he wishes the provincial government would offer financial support to increase the service.

On Monday, September 13, the City’s Waterworks Department began reading water meters in Steinbach.
