Obituary

Ray, the most happy-go-lucky man you could ever meet, passed away peacefully, on Thursday, May 23, 2019, at Ste. Anne Hospital at the age of 75. He was diagnosed with (IPF) Idiopathic Pulmonary Fibrosis in 2017.

Ray is survived by his beloved wife of 35 years, Raymonde (nee Dupont), daughter Gena and son Joël, grandchildren Christopher and Hanna, sister Béatrice, brothers Gilbert (Solange), Edward (Karen), André (Rose), and many nieces and nephews.

He was predeceased by his daughter Lisa at a young age of 38, his sister Diane (Léo), his parents Edmond and Louise, and his brother-in-law Bernie.

Ray loved music, playing and singing guitar: a fun loving, easy going, kind of guy. He filled our hearts with love and memories. He also enjoyed going to the Blue Bomber games, and watching his hockey, and all sports for that matter.

He worked at Transcona Roofing for 38 years until his retirement in 2008. He then did some travelling, and camping, and just enjoyed life with family.

Celebration of Life will be held on Thursday, May 30, 2019, at 2:00 p.m. at the Birchwood Funeral Chapel, Steinbach, MB.
