Violet Reimer (nee Plett)

Obituary

It is with great sadness that the family wishes to announce the passing of Violet Reimer (Plett) on Saturday, June 22nd, 2019. Violet passed suddenly at home at the age of 55.

Violet was survived by her children, Kevin Reimer (Brianne), Krystal Reimer (Paul & Aiden), Kandis Fielder (Chris, Jeremy, Chelsey, Destiny, Braydon & Faith) and the father of her children Denver Reimer. She also leaves behind sister Rose Plett (Dennis), brother George Plett (Marge), foster daughter Dayna, and numerous other foster children, nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins.

She was predeceased by her adoptive parents Abe and Anna Plett and brothers Lloyd Plett and Don Plett.

While at times Violet found life tough, she always found joy in her children but even more so in her grandchildren. They were her true pride and joy. She loved to brag and share about them any chance she got! Another passion of Violets was baking, and we all were more than pleased to see those Ziploc freezer bags full of buns handed over to us. We were even happier when those buns were accompanied by a fresh pot of VI’s homemade hamburger or sausage vegetable soup! She always made sure everyone who came over was fed and felt welcome.

Violet seemed to always find peace in her love of gospel music and we now take peace in the fact that she is forever more enjoying Gods choir of angels in Heaven.

The funeral service will be held on Tuesday, July 2, 2019, at 11:00 a.m. at Birchwood Funeral Chapel, Steinbach, MB., with an interment at a later date. Viewing will be at the chapel prior to the service.

Cremation will take place following the service with a private family celebration of her life at a later date.
