Obituary

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Henry Wallmann. He died peacefully at home with his family at his side.

He is survived by his wife Else, daughter Christine (Robert Ebbinghaus), daughter-in-law Elvira, son John, daughter Esther (Steve Derksen) and grandchildren Mandy Wallmann, Mark and David Wallmann, Nolan, Tsega and Tesfanesh Derksen.

Henry was predeceased by his father Heinrich Wallmann, his mother Tina Friesen (nee Buhler), his stepfather Johann Friesen, his stepmother Agnes Friesen, his father-in-law and mother-in-law Heinrich and Elizabeth Wiebe, his son Henry Wallmann and his granddaughter Sarah Derksen.

Henry will be sorely missed. He was a generous and kind man and loved his family dearly – he was the best Dad ever.

The funeral service will be held on Monday, July 29, 2019, at 11:00 a.m. at Steinbach Christian Mennonite Church with a viewing one hour prior to the service.

We would like to thank everyone who helped Dad on this final journey. We were moved by the outpouring of support from friends and family. We would like to send out a special thank you to “Team Wallmann” at Silver Linings. Not only did you care for Dad’s physical well-being you brought joy into his last days… we can’t express our gratitude enough.
