Obituary

In the early hours of Sunday morning, November 2, 2025 a great man with a heart too big for this earth, Peter John Moser, age 51, unexpectedly went to meet his Saviour.

Peter was born in Kitchener, Ontario on April 12, 1974. It was a Good Friday morning. He spent his early years on his parents farm helping his dad out with the pigs and going for tractor rides. Peter loved dirt biking in the summer and ice hockey in the winter. He was a true farm kid at heart. Pete and his brother Trevor were inseparable as young boys, as they followed their dad all around the farm. He started his education at a private Christian school in Ontario. In 1986 Pete’s family moved to Steinbach, Manitoba, where he continued his education by homeschooling. Pete was always more interested in working than school. He started his first job at a very young age. He enjoyed any job that he could work with his hands. He was introduced to the industry of construction when he started framing. Peter was always a hard working man with great determination. He had many jobs throughout his early years such as trucking, where he bought his own highway tractor, working on ice roads, general contracting, building ski resorts, and working in northern Manitoba building schools and houses. After spending a couple years up north, Lafarge/Perimeter Concrete offered Pete a position at the Steinbach concrete plant. This position grew into an amazing career of problem solving and managing many different personalities and projects. Still a contractor at heart, Pete built two of their family homes.

In 2005, Pete met the love of his life, Lisa on a blind date. This date was set up by his sister. The rest is history, seven and half short months later, they were married. Pete treasured the life he built with Lisa. Their marriage was marked by deep affection, easy companionship, humor, and a love that endured every season of life. Those who knew him, could feel the love that he had for her. Together they created a warm, welcoming home rooted in loyalty and affection.

Their first daughter Haydyn joined them in 2007. Throughout the next couple of years they were blessed with four more daughters, Nevaeh, Paisley, Hailey and Victoria. They shared their love widely, opening their home to foster children who needed comfort, guidance, and a safe place to land. Pete became the ultimate girl dad. He loved traveling with his family and took great pride in his girls. He gave them the world. This past summer Peter had the amazing privilege of getting baptized by his dad alongside his five daughters.

Peter will be greatly missed by his beloved wife Lisa Moser and their five daughters; Haydyn, Nevaeh, Paisley, Hailey, and Victoria, his parents Paul and Christine Moser, and siblings; older brother Trevor (Laurel) as well as their sons Seth, Jonah, Sam, and Jude. Younger sister Sheree (Keith) Perreault and their sons Preston and Terran. Lisa’s family, parents Brian and Elizabeth Plett and her four brothers and their families. Leroy (Debra) and their daughters Julia, Talia, and Lydia. Howard (Ruth) and their sons, Bailey (Brittany), Ethan (Heidi), and Mark. Terry (Sherisse) and their children Teagan (Evan) Lage, Brooke, and Toby. Tim (Nicole) and their children Grayson, Myckenna, and Cade. Recently, he enjoyed the time spent with the young men in his daughter’s lives, Carter Doerksen and Austin Banman, who became like family.

The celebration of life will be held on Monday, November 10, 2025, at 2:00 p.m., at Crossview Church, 345 Loewen Blvd, Steinbach, MB., with viewing one hour prior to the service.
