Obituary

Sadly announcing the passing of Ron (Ronnie) Andrusyk, of Steinbach, Manitoba, formerly of Woodmore, MB, on Sunday, December 7, 2025, at Bethesda Regional Health Centre, Steinbach, MB., after a short but very painful battle with cancer.

He is survived by his loving wife Emily, four sisters-in-law, and two aunts.

He was predeceased by his parents Harry and Mary Andrusyk.

Ron was born on a very stormy day, November 16, 1947, in Vita, Manitoba.

We recently celebrated his 78th birthday with our dear friends, Rick and Marita, and his special dog friend, Shadow. It was a truly meaningful day. Rick and Shadow visited every morning for Shadow’s treat, a small ritual that became the highlight of Ron’s day. He also shared a special bond with our cat, Rosie.

We walked through 28 years of joys and sorrows together.

Ron grew up on the family farm in Woodmore, Manitoba, where his family worked in dairy, grain, and later beef cattle. He also spent time in construction with Derksen Trucking in Altona, Manitoba. For several years, he kept a shop in Roseau River, Manitoba, where he loved to spend time puttering and mowing the grass.

He is now at peace – my special angel.
