Obituary

On Sunday December 21, 2025, at the Bethesda Regional Health Centre, Doreen passed peacefully, at the age of 88.

She was predeceased by her husband, Marius, her parents Phillipe and Lea Bellavance as well as her brother Ronald.

Left to cherish her memories are her children, sons, Gilbert, Roger and Jacques (Cheryl) and her daughter Ann (Roy). She will also be missed by her grandchildren and great grandchildren.

Doreen was born April 21, 1937, in Delmas, Saskatchewan. She was the eldest of four children and will also be sorely missed by her sisters, Jeannine, and Yvonne, who she was close to and spoke with daily. She had fond memories of growing up on the farm with her sisters and brother and enjoyed any outdoor activities.

In 1958 she left the farm for the big city life in Winnipeg, it is there that she met her husband, Marius Musso. They were married on June 25, 1960, and resided in St. Boniface and the Windsor Park areas. They enjoyed the outdoors and spent many summers at their favorite spot, Black Lake, it was there that Doreen’s favorite past-time was fishing.

After moving with her son Jacques (Cheryl) to Richer Manitoba, she was once again able to enjoy the country life. In 2025, she moved to the Villa Youville in Ste Anne to live independently while being surrounded by new friends and healthcare aids as needed.

We would like to thank Dr. Pravinsagar G Mehta for caring for Doreen for 51 years, especially the last 4 years when things became a bit difficult for her, his care for her was beyond standard doctor / patient and many times called in the evenings or weekends to follow up on her wellbeing.

To the Villa Youville, we do not have enough kind words to convey our gratitude to the staff, which included the health care aids, the dining room staff, and managers. Your care was indescribable and she loved her home there.

For the Ste Anne Hospital and the Bethesda Hospital, your care and comfort for Doreen was outstanding from the emergency doctors to the nurses and healthcare aids, your compassion and care was comforting to us.

Cremation has taken place and a private celebration of life and interment will be held in the spring of 2026.
