Obituary

It is with deep sadness and heavy hearts that we announce the sudden and tragic passing of Casey Reed Pauls in the early afternoon on Friday, December 26, 2025.

At the young age of 41, Casey leaves behind his soulmate and partner Ally Plett and their son Ozzy Von Pauls. He is survived by his parents Ken and Sandi Pauls, one brother Brock (Martha) children: Gavin and Kian, one sister Carlie. Along with Ally’s family, parents Ian and Tammy Plett, her sister Brittany (Jason) Andres, their children Elliot, Mateo, Raelyn, her brother Jake Plett, numerous extended family and friends.

Casey was predeceased by his Grandma N: Agnes Nightingale in 2008, Grandma P: Mary Pauls in 2012, and Grandpa George Pauls in 2014.

Casey will be remembered as a dedicated family man, a hardworking self-proclaimed jack-of-all-trades, his love for music, being generous with his time, an outspoken and loyal friend.

The celebration of life for Casey will be held on Saturday, January 10, 2026, at 3:00 p.m., at Southland Church, Steinbach, Manitoba. Those planning to attend, please wear black.

The family would like to thank all the emergency personnel who assisted at the scene: Fire departments, EMS and the emergency room staff at Bethesda Regional Health Centre. Your efforts did not go unnoticed.
