Mom was a woman with a beautiful soul who loved everyone. She had a way of touching people’s lives and not even realizing it. If you were to ask Mom about herself, she would say “I’m nothing special.” Everyone in mom’s life has a different view of how special she was and how much she has impacted their lives. Her smile drew people in; it was a warm welcoming smile.
Being her child was the most amazing gift. We were blessed to have unconditional love and to know the meaning of it. No matter how much we messed up or pushed her away, she was there with open arms when we came back. Mom had a kindness and peace about her that made even the worst days not so bad. Mom will be deeply missed and forever loved.
We would like to say a special thanks to the Boundary Trails Cancer Care team (the angels), and the Palliative Care team for their great care for Mom over the last year.
The funeral service will be held on Friday, January 9, 2026, at 11:00 a.m. at Birchwood Funeral Chapel, Steinbach, MB.
