It is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing of our father Dave Logan who passed away suddenly on Wednesday, January 28, 2026 in Vita, Manitoba at the age of 57.
Dave was born in Winnipeg, Manitoba to Bruce and Joanne Logan. The family moved to Lorette, Manitoba during Dave’s early years. Dave grew up loving the outdoors, riding anything with wheels, fishing, spending time with family playing games, having bonfires and setting off fireworks. Dave’s love of driving led him to various careers from being a courier to long haul trucking. During some of his later years, Dave found joy, rest and peace at the lake with Rock Lake Ministries.
Dave was predeceased by his mother Joanne Logan. Dave will be deeply missed by his spouse; Carrie, sons; Jesse, Daniel (Marissa), Sean, father; Bruce Logan, sisters; Maureen (Earl) Toews, Candice (Sheldon) Reid, as well as numerous nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.
Dave was a loving, loyal and protective son, brother, father, husband and friend. Dave loved being a father, it gave him great joy watching his boys grow up and was fiercely proud of each of them. Dave valued friendships with those he connected with. Faith was an important part throughout Dave’s life. Dave expressed his love and faith through acts of generosity and kindness he often showed towards others. You could always count on Dave if you needed his support. Dave was quick to joke and tease those he loved and was often the instigator of a practical joke.
A celebration of life will be held at 2:00 pm on Thursday, February 5, 2026 at the Dayspring Fellowship Church in Ste. Anne, Manitoba. The family encourages everyone to dress casually (Blue Bomber / Harley Davidson) as Dave expressed his wishes for everyone to be comfortable when joined together to celebrate his life.
The family would like to express a special thank you to all the thoughtful and supportive staff of the Le Chalet de La Broquerie, Bethesda Hospital in Steinbach and Vita Personal Care Home for the care and support they provided for Dave during his stay.
