Robert Rodrigue was a kind and gentle man, respected, honored and loved by all who had the privilege of knowing him. He loved to joke and kid around and he had an infectious smile that could brighten any room. Time spent with family meant everything to him – whether it was listening to music and singing along, enjoying afternoons of card games, coloring with this grand-children or simply gathering together.
He was always ready to welcome company. A natural host, Robert made sure no one ever left his home hungry. There was always an array of drinks and snacks, and Robert ensured everyone felt comfortable and free to stay as long as they liked.
During the summer months, he especially enjoyed a good barbecue, a friendly game of bocce, croquet, or simply sitting outside soaking in the day. An active man, he faithfully kept up with his daily walks in the hallways of the Manoir in St. Pierre.
Robert was a pillar of strength and a true family man. His family was his greatest priority, and important and steady part of his life.
He will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered by all whose lives he touched. His chair may sit empty, but his presence will forever fill our homes. In every shared meal, every card game, every summer barbecue, and every act of kindness, we will feel Robert’s spirit with us – steady, loving, and proud of the family he cherished so deeply.
