Obituary

Erny Janz, age 75, of Landmark, Manitoba, passed away on Saturday, April 11, 2026, at Bethesda Regional Health Centre, Steinbach, MB. She passed away peacefully and happily after a brief illness.

She is survived by her step-children Ralph, Doris, and Bernie and their families, and her children David, Monica, Eric, Richard “Dick”, Susan, and Reuben, and their families. She was predeceased by her husband Siegfried, and step-children Andrew and Anita.

She was born on October 15 1950, in Stavanger, Norway. She spent her youth time traveling and working as an au pair in Europe, Australia, and North America. In 1982 she came to Winnipeg and married Siegfried Janz, a widower with 5 children. They married and had 6 more children of their own. She was an exceptional mother, wife, and friend, showing goodness, mercy, and love to all she came in contact with.

We wish to thank many, many people for their care for her, but special thanks to Miriam Janz, Shannon Henry, and Rosalyn Henry for all the goodness you showed her. Thank you to the staff at St. Boniface and Bethesda hospitals, especially Dr. Greg Longbottom, for your care.

The funeral service will be held on Saturday, April 25, 2026, at 11:00 a.m., at Brunstad Christian Church, 29087 St. Anne’s Road Landmark, MB.
