Obituary

Shelley May Reimer passed away peacefully surrounded by her parents & children on April 16, 2026 at Riverview Health Centre at the age of 59 years old.

Shelley is survived by her parents, Frank & Marianne Friesen, brother Ward Friesen (Kara Capleve), children Danika Knight (Tim Knight) & Mac Reimer (Melissa Reimer), grandchildren Kinsley & Hayden Knight and Wyatt Reimer, nephew Connor Friesen (Amy Friesen), niece LaDawn Owen (Braeden Owen) and grand-nephews Levi & Anders Friesen and Dane & Dawson Owen.

Shelley is predeceased by both sets of her grandparents Berhard & Tena Friesen and John K & Nettie Klassen, and numerous cousins.

Shelley grew up in Rosenort, Manitoba and as a youth, took a special interest in sports – volleyball, badminton and basketball, and in crafting – calligraphy and painting. She was baptized upon the confession of her faith in February 1983. She moved to Winnipeg in 1994, where she raised her children. She loved to travel, especially to tropical locations and preferably by cruise ship. She was happiest on a beach with her toes in the sand. Once she had grandchildren, her passion was being a grandma. She loved visiting with her grandchildren and was always spoiling them with gifts and treats, even when her children told her not to! But the grandchildren loved it and would often request visits to see Grandma Shelley.

The celebration of life will be held on Friday April 24, 2026 at 2:00pm at Rosenort Fellowship Chapel. With interment at Rosenort EMC Cemetery.

The family wishes to thank the Palliative Care Team, Riverview Health Centre, the staff at Dakota House and Shelley’s home care workers for all their exceptional care. They are thankful for her faithful friends who visited frequently, she was so happy when she had company.
