Obituary

Elizabeth Reimer, age 79 of Steinbach, Manitoba, passed away on Thursday, April 16, 2026, at Bethesda Place, Steinbach, MB.

She is survived by six children: Bob(Leanna), Barb(Cornie), John(Doris), Gladys(Cornie), Russ(Shiela), and Mel(Nic). 21 Grandchildren: Shoshanna, Desiree, Melissa, Nicole, Caitlyn, Christanna, Cody, Dylan, Dalton, Amelia, Natascha, Kyle, Micheal, Roy, Brian, Jessica, Victoria, Angelina, Cyrus, Jonas, Damon,Shelby, and 39 Great-Grandchildren.

Elizabeth was predeceased by her loving husband, Henry, son Darryl, her parents, Issac & Tina Dueck, brother Cliff sister Mary, and a great-grandchild.

She will be remembered for her gentle heart, steadfast faith, and the quiet joy she brought to everyone around her.

Elizabeth had a gift for finding beauty in life’s simplest moments. She could spend hours coloring intricate designs or reading her Bible, often sharing a favorite verse or reflection that would uplift anyone she spoke to. Family and friends often recall how she could turn a simple afternoon into a moment of laughter, peace, and love – whether through her soft words of encouragement or the small, thoughtful gestures that became her signature.

One of her favorite verses, “Let all that you do be done in love” (1 Corinthians 16:14), reflected the way she lived her life: with grace, compassion, and an open heart. She leaves behind a legacy of warmth and faith, and her memory will continue to inspire all who knew her.

Elizabeth will be deeply missed by her family, friends, and all whose lives she touched.

The memorial service will be held on Tuesday, May 5, 2026, at 11:00 a.m. at Birchwood Funeral Chapel, Steinbach, MB.
