Obituary

Shirley Anne Edna Winslow left this world April 15, 2026, three days short of her 91st birthday, to join her husband Willie, son Lennard and grandson Dylen. She will always be lovingly remembered her daughters, Lorna (Brian) and Leanne (Randy); grandchildren, Ryan (Lynette), Kyle, Justin (Amanda), Tyler, Brendan (Steph), Lauren (Wes), Riley (Kari), Danielle (Jordan) Lennox (Stephanie) and Brooklen. Great grand children Alexander, Katrina, Dean, Ethan, Caleb, Emily, Adam, Addy, Finn, Abigail, William, Wendel, Eliana, Cooper, Maverick, Sophia, and Giovanni.

She also leaves behind her siblings, Jim (Lucille) Joyce, Bobbie (Dave), and sister-in-law Rose and brother-in-law Harry. Auntie Shirley will be sadly missed by many nieces and nephews. Her friends, Judy and Bob Partridge together with many others will miss her friendship and love.

Born in Port Arthur, Ontario and raised in Southern Manitoba, she married Willie in 1954, and they traveled around following work until they settled in Kenora. A transfer with TransCanada led them from Kenora to Falcon Beach. Over the years Shirley was an active member of the Whiteshell Community Club and School Board, she served as a Justice of the Peace, worked as a Park Attendant until she was 75, enjoyed curling, snowmobiling and skiing. Raising beagles enriched her life for many years. In retirement quilting became her favorite hobby along with crocheting, knitting, and ceramics. In 1991 Bill and Shirley moved from Falcon to East Braintree, building a new home to live out their retirement years.

Special thanks to all the staff at Villa Youville that cared for mom over those last few years.

A family interment at Falcon Beach has taken place and a celebration of life will be held at the Whiteshell Community Club, Friday, June 12, 2026, at 1:00 p.m.

Thanks for the years you gave us, for the good times that we shared. We only pray that when you left us, you knew how much we cared.
