Obituary

Adonis “Donny” Dubois, born in Winnipeg, Manitoba, passed away peacefully in hospital in Morris, Manitoba, on April 20, 2026, at the age of 52.

He was the son of Blanche Caron and the late Marcel Dubois. Adonis was the youngest among his many cousins on his mother’s side. He was the father of two sons, Haight and Rage Dubois. Adonis lived in Ontario during his sons’ younger years. While Adonis was raised and lived in Winnipeg for most of his childhood and some of his adult years, his last years were spent living in his beautiful home in St. Jean-Baptiste, Manitoba.

Adonis faced health challenges in recent years, with resilience and strength. He lived life in his own unique way, valuing freedom, good food, music, and the simple pride of building a life for himself. In his final weeks, he shared that he had done what he set out to do and felt at peace with his life.

He was surrounded by care and compassion in his final days and knew he was loved.

He will be remembered for his independence, his strength, and his one-of-a-kind spirit. He will be missed.

Celebration of Life / Memorial Service on Sunday, May 3, 2026, from 1:00 – 4:00 p.m. at the TC Energy Centre, 1 Rivard St, Île-des-Chênes.
