Obituary

Peter Friesen age 79 of Steinbach, Manitoba, passed away suddenly on Monday, April 27, 2026, in his home.

Peter will be deeply missed by his wife, Susie, of 46 years, one daughter, Daniela (Rick), two grandchildren Maria and Jaxon, two sisters and his many friends and families. He was predeceased by his wife Maria, one daughter Conny, one son Albert, his parents, Martin and Elizabeth Friesen, five brothers and four sisters.

Peter was born on April 23, 1947, in Paraguay to Martin and Elizabeth Friesen. In 1970 he married Maria Doerksen. Peter and Maria had three children. Peter lost his son in 1971 after a short life. Peter and his family came to Canada in 1978. September of 1979 Peter and his family were in a bad car accident that took the life of his wife and one daughter.

Peter remarried in 1980 to a wonderful lady, Susie. He was a hard worker till 1997 when his health would not allow him to work anymore due to the sustained injuries from his car accident in 1979.

Peter had a great a passion for the Lord. Everything he did was to serve the Lord.

The funeral service for Peter will take place on Monday, May 4, 2026, at 2:00 PM at Birchwood Funeral Chapel in Steinbach. Viewing will take place one hour prior to the service.

The interment will take place at the Heritage Cemetery.
