Obituary

Eveline Boily (née Fréchette), born May 21, 1944, passed away peacefully on April 30, 2026, at Villa Youville in Ste. Anne, Manitoba.

Eveline will be lovingly remembered by her three children: Doris Friesen, Gilles Boily, and André Boily. She was a proud grandmother to Sacha Harder, Samantha Lajoie (partner Andrew Mackins), Jessica Stanley (partner Paul Stanley), Donovan Friesen (partner Taylee Wolfe), and a cherished great-grandmother to Mason Mackins, Hazel Friesen, Noah Mackins, Olivia Harder, Jace Wolfe, and Charlie Harder. She will also be remembered by the Nault family. The late Gilles Nault was her best and dedicated friend of 20 years.

Eveline lived a full and hardworking life, much of it as a self-employed businesswoman. She owned and operated a sawmill, where she became known as “Lady Eveline” in the lumber industry – a reflection of both her strength and determination. After selling her successful business, she dedicated herself to homecare work, where she gave her whole heart to those she cared for, leaving a lasting impact on many lives.

She found joy in simple pleasures, especially gardening, and was happiest when keeping busy. Eveline had a naturally positive spirit and was known for her “glass half full” outlook on life. She offered encouragement to others in difficult times and was a steady source of warmth and kindness to all who knew her.

The family wishes to express their heartfelt gratitude to the staff at Villa Youville for their compassionate care and support.

Eveline will be deeply missed and forever remembered for her resilience, generosity, and loving heart.

A celebration of life will be held at 2:00 pm on Friday, May 8, 2026 at Crossings Funeral Care, with viewing one hour prior to the service.
