As the labour interruption enters its sixth week, Manitoba Public Insurance (MPI) is introducing new and expanded contingency plans to ensure customers have continued access to MPI services, including expanded estimating capacity and increased driver testing options.

Manitoba Public Insurance (MPI) has announced that it is further expanding its contingency plans during the ongoing labour interruption by enhancing the services available to Manitobans over the next week.

Manitoba Public Insurance (MPI) is optimistic that progress is being made toward ending the strike action initiated by the Manitoba Government and General Employees’ Union (MGEU) now that the union has agreed to engage the services of a conciliator.

MPI is further expanding its contingency planning during the ongoing labour interruption by resuming Class 1-4 and Air Brake knowledge testing. Customers in Winnipeg whose knowledge test appointments have been cancelled will be contacted directly by MPI to reschedule.
